Shredder BE

The SAUERBURGER BE straw shredder is specially designed for economical use on stubble fields, processing large quantities of maize stalks, sunflowers and green manure crops. The high intake opening, the extremely large rotor diameter and the special shape of the housing give the machine the best prerequisites for handling and distributing high throughput in just one pass. The position of the discharge flap and the straw guide plates ensures even distribution of the straw swath across the entire working width.

By means of a quick-release fastener on the discharge flap, the machine hood can be opened in just a few simple steps. This also makes the shredder suitable for shredding crop residues and cover crops, as well as for maintaining fallow land.

Inside the housing, two counter blades are installed through which the straw passes. Due to their close proximity to the blades, they ensure optimum shredding of the material, which can then be easily incorporated with a cultivator.

This promotes rapid decomposition and humus formation, helping to improve soil structure and effectively control pests present in the crop.

The working depth of the machine is adjusted by means of two large gauge wheels. They ensure excellent ground contour following and provide a uniform cutting height.

The machine is driven via a heavy-duty gearbox and a generously dimensioned V-belt drive system (on both sides on the BE 3500 D). The dynamically balanced rotor runs extremely smoothly, ensuring a long service life for the entire machine. To reduce wear when operating on stony ground and at high work rates, an additional wear plate is recommended. It acts as a buffer between the rotor and the housing and can be easily replaced when worn.
