The SAUERBURGER DMF 40 is ideally suited for mounting on small carrier vehicles with engine outputs of up to 70 hp thanks to its lightweight design. Thanks to its slim and low-profile design, the mower can also be operated with a radio-controlled crawler carrier. Its lightweight design, low power requirement and environmentally friendly mowing technology make the DMF 40 the ideal mower for maintaining municipal and conservation areas.

Options
Compared to the proven classic BIDUX cutter bar, the BIDUXX cutter bar features an optimized crop flow design, but requires up to 20% more power.
Smooth upper and lower blades are ideal for fine, short crop material. The blades feature low power requirements and both blades can be resharpened.
The drive system operates via a hydraulic unit designed for either 540 or 1000 rpm, depending on the version. This allows the mower to be optimally matched to the respective tractor and ensures reliable and efficient power transmission during operation.
The drive system operates via a PTO-driven unit designed for a drive speed of either 540 or 1000 rpm, depending on the version.
The flat-face hydraulic quick coupling size BG2 enables clean and drip-free connection of the hydraulic lines. This prevents oil loss and protects the environment while ensuring a reliable and secure connection, even under frequent use.
The clockwise PTO shaft rotation direction (when viewed facing the tractor PTO stub) corresponds to the standard configuration of many tractors with rear PTO shafts.
The counterclockwise PTO shaft rotation direction (when viewed facing the tractor PTO stub) corresponds to the standard configuration of many tractors with front PTO shafts.
The mounting frame allows the mower to be attached to all common front loader, wheel loader, farm loader and telehandler mounting systems. Both a Euro mounting system and manufacturer-specific mounting systems can be fitted to the mounting frame.
The triangle coupling mount enables quick and easy attachment and removal of the implement via an A-frame coupling of Category I, II or III.
The parallelogram linkage is designed for mounting on vehicles without float position or for applications where the supporting component has a high dead weight, such as front loaders, wheel loaders, farm loaders or telehandlers.
The speed monitoring system for single mower operation is designed to monitor the blade speed of one mower. It ensures continuous monitoring of the blade drive speed, allowing the drive speed to be optimally matched to the travel speed and ensuring consistently high working quality.
The speed monitoring system for the DMF and DMS mower combination is designed to monitor the blade speed of two mowers via a central display. It ensures continuous monitoring of the blade drive speed, allowing the drive speed to be optimally matched to the travel speed and ensuring consistently high working quality. In addition, only one power supply and one display are required inside the vehicle.
The mower speed monitoring is carried out directly via the Grip4 vehicle display. This ensures that the blade drive speed is always clearly visible and no additional components for speed indication are required. The drive speed can be optimally matched to the travel speed, ensuring consistently high working quality.
The 260 mm wide skid shoe is designed for mowing on soft and yielding ground. Its extra-wide contact surface ensures optimum ground adaptation and even weight distribution. Ground pressure per skid shoe is significantly reduced, ensuring smooth and stable operation. Compared to the standard 100 mm wide skid shoe, the 260 mm version also has significantly higher friction resistance.
The cast sliding disc is a tray-shaped skid shoe with fully rounded edges designed for maximum protection of the grass sward. The sliding disc is available for cutting heights of 40 mm and 60 mm.
One set of spare blades enables quick and uncomplicated replacement in the event of blade wear or damage. This ensures operational readiness and consistently high cutting quality while minimizing downtime.
The swath plates ensure targeted placement of the crop material into a clean swath, facilitating subsequent passes. They are especially suitable for low, sparse or dry crop conditions and provide a clearing width of 150 mm to 250 mm per side.
The lighting system with warning signs improves the visibility of the mounted mower and increases safety in road traffic. It complies with applicable road traffic regulations (StVZO) and ensures safe participation in public traffic, even under poor visibility conditions.
The warning signs improve the visibility of the mounted mower in road traffic and alert other road users to the machine width at an early stage. They therefore contribute to increased road safety.
The mechanical spring suspension reduces the ground pressure of the mower, ensuring optimum ground adaptation and protection of the grass sward. The reduced contact pressure also allows the mower to glide more easily over the ground, resulting in smoother operation and minimized wear.
The crop dividers separate and guide standing crop material to ensure a clean cut. They are suitable for tall or heavily overgrown crop conditions and reduce the risk of clogging.
An additional set of skid shoes provides greater operational flexibility and allows quick adaptation to varying ground conditions or required cutting heights.
The set of replacement knife blades and countersunk rivets includes a selection of different knife blades together with matching countersunk rivets. It is intended for quick and professional repair of the blades in the event of damage or loss of individual blade sections.
The additional hydraulic oil cooler ensures a constant oil temperature under the toughest operating conditions and prevents overheating of the hydraulic system. This guarantees reliable performance even at high ambient temperatures.
