The strips of grass remaining below pasture fences after grazing or topping can be cleanly maintained with the SAUERBURGER ILTIS fence-line mulcher, specially developed for this purpose. This prevents the growth of wild vegetation such as stinging nettles, thistles or other scrub, which can create an untidy appearance particularly along roads and paths. The mulched grass is distributed behind the swivelling disc and, after decomposing, is returned to the soil as fertiliser.

Thanks to its robust standard mechanical drive via two high-performance V-belts, the machine can be mounted on any tractor from approx. 22 kW / 30 hp. The design features a compact swivelling mechanism in order to keep the moving mass as low as possible during swivelling. The very low-profile mulching disc ensures trouble-free operation even with very low fence heights. The integrated spring suspension allows the outer disc to adapt easily to uneven ground. In addition, an integrated spring preload, adjustable by means of a set screw, allows the pressure of the swivelling disc to be adapted to the respective conditions. A hydraulically height-adjustable support wheel enables the machine to be quickly and conveniently adapted to different terrain conditions.
